1. Who We Are

SURVIVE is developed and maintained by Shwez Studio. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it means Shwez Studio.

2. Our Core Privacy Principle

SURVIVE is designed to work offline and to keep your personal data on your device. We collect as little data as possible, and your private notes never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share them.

We do not sell your data. We do not display advertising. We do not build profiles on you.

3. What Data We Collect

3.1 Data You Create — Notes

When you create personal notes in the App:

Notes are stored exclusively on your device in local storage
Notes are never transmitted to our servers
Notes are never accessible to us under any circumstances
If you export and share a note (via WhatsApp, SMS, email, etc.), the sharing happens through your device's operating system — we do not have access to what you share or who you share it with
If you delete the App, your notes are permanently deleted from your device. We cannot recover them.

3.2 Data Synced From Our Server — Content

When you use the Sync feature:

The App connects to our content server (cms.shwezstudio.in) to download survival guide articles and category information
This is a one-way download — your device receives content, but we do not receive personal data in return
We may log standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not linked to your identity and are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

3.3 Device and App Data

We do not collect:

Your name, email address, or any registration information (the App has no accounts)
Your location or GPS data
Your contacts or address book
Your camera or microphone access
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprinting data
Usage analytics or behavioural tracking

The App stores the following locally on your device only:

Downloaded article content and categories
Your personal notes
App preferences (theme, font size, last sync time)
Bookmarks and recently viewed articles

None of this data is transmitted to us.

3.4 Crash Reports

If the App crashes, we may — depending on your device's operating system settings — receive a crash report through Apple App Store or Google Play Store's native crash reporting systems. These reports contain technical information about the crash (device type, OS version, error stack trace) but do not include your notes, browsing history within the App, or any personal content.

You can disable crash reporting in your device's privacy settings.

4. How We Use Information

The limited information we receive (server access logs) is used solely to:

Keep the content sync server operational and secure
Detect and prevent abuse or denial-of-service attacks
Diagnose technical issues with content delivery

We do not use any information to:

Target you with advertising
Build a profile of your interests or behaviour
Share with third parties for marketing
Make automated decisions that affect you

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose server log data. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted.
Service providers — our content server is hosted on third-party infrastructure. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose.
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data policies would transfer to the new owner, who would be bound by this Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

SURVIVE is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App does not require account registration and does not collect personal data, there is minimal risk of collecting children's information.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data through the App, please contact us at privacy@shwezstudio.in and we will take steps to address it.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

On-device data is protected by your device's built-in security (device encryption, screen lock)
Content server uses HTTPS encryption for all data transfer
Notes never leave your device, so they are not at risk from server-side breaches
We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a screen lock

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

Access — you can view all data the App stores on your device directly within the App
Deletion — you can delete your notes at any time within the App, or uninstall the App to remove all local data
Portability — you can export your notes as Markdown files at any time
Opt-out of analytics — the App does not use analytics; there is nothing to opt out of
Correction — since we hold no personal profile data about you, there is no profile to correct

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The App does not contain links to third-party websites. Content articles are self-contained and do not include external links, so there is no risk of being redirected to third-party services through the App's content.

Sharing notes via WhatsApp, SMS, or other apps is handled entirely by your device's operating system. Once you share content through another app, that app's privacy policy applies.

11. International Users

SURVIVE is available globally. If you are accessing the App from outside of India, please note that your connection to our content server may involve data crossing international borders. By using the App, you consent to this transfer in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App.

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
